Job Description

You will join our growing team as a (Senior) Research Manager, serving as the primary client contact in all phases of market research projects, which consist of both quantitative and qualitative projects. Using your strong analytical skills, you will lead and execute projects to ensure clients are given clear and actionable insights. You will strengthen existing client relationships and expand our client base in the consumer health industry. Some clients we work with in this space are Danone, Bayer Consumer Care, Nestle. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who is ready to:

  • Lead business development (BD) initiatives to meet regional targets, ensure the required time and energy is spent on BD and account management efforts
  • Manage new and existing client relationships and accounts, as well as extending our consumer health business in Europe
  • Take a consultative approach and serving as a strategic sparring partner, you will discuss marketing issues/business problems with clients throughout the market research projects, from proposal to in-person presentation
  • Manage, supervise, and partly execute all phases of market research studies: proposal, design, programming, questionnaire preparation, analysis, report writing and presentation
  • Supervise the work of junior team members and contribute to their development
  • Influence the future of SKIM

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in market research, an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, and a demonstrated successful track record in account management. More specifically we’re looking for someone with the following profile:

  • At least 5+ years’ work experience in market research with a proven track record of turning complex business issues into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining key accounts and client relationships
  • Self-motivated and high energy, with the ability to fit in well with a team
  • Strong quantitative skills, with experience with one or more of the following types of projects: demand modelling/market potential studies, segmentation (HCP or patient), patient pathway evaluation, ATU tracking studies
  • International mindset and likes visiting clients around Europe
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills including in-person presenting
  • Proficient German language skills is preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A (Master’s) degree in one of the following studies is considered a plus: health and nutrition-related, health food innovation management, etc.
