Megha Kalani, Product Manager at Philips Healthcare, and Jemma Lampkin, Senior Project Manager Healthcare at SKIM, co-presented at this year’s EphMRA Pharmaceutical Market Research Conference in London on June 26th.

Quality in, quality out: Building value propositions for medical devices

Speakers: Megha Kalani, Philips Healthcare and Jemma Lampkin, SKIM

Developing innovative offerings which yield high value to customers is critical to the survival of manufacturers and involving customers in this innovative process is key for a company like Philips Healthcare. Whilst the company had used Value Propositions as a means to develop innovative ideas, it was clear that the process was not bringing enough direction or clarity to business decisions and so in 2011, Philips Healthcare implemented a new structured approach to value proposition testing for medical devices – in conjunction with 2 agencies. This presentation outlined not only the approach used but provide the audience with actual examples of how the process has affected decision making for Philips at various stages of the product lifecycle.
