We are pleased to have two experienced data insights experts joining SKIM to accelerate the Berlin team’s growth and deepen the successful client partnerships built to date with companies across industries. After a successful 2020, the Berlin team is doubling in size this year. With Jessica Rainalter as expert in innovation research and analytics as well as Aljona Melzel as expert in consumer segmentation and portfolio optimization, SKIM reinforces its commitment to empower DACH companies in their data-driven decision making.
“I am excited to welcome Aljona and Jessica on board. Both bring great insights expertise and many years of research experience in helping clients, across different industries, successfully make business decisions based on data and insights,” commented Julia Görnandt, DACH Director and SKIM’s Berlin team lead.
Jessica Rainalter
Jessica Rainalter joins SKIM as Associate Director in Germany. With over 10 years’ experience in research, marketing and analytics – working on the client, agency and consultancy sides – she brings many different perspectives to the team. Prior to joining SKIM, she worked as a Senior Consultant in Analytics and Marketing Mix Modeling. During her time at Ipsos, Jessica worked with many big players in FMCG, Health and OTC on their innovation, pricing and brand business questions. At the Marketing Platform Payback she established the global research practice and led the brand launch in Italy in her role as brand marketeer.
When asked why she joined SKIM, Jessica explained: “When I was introduced to SKIM, I was fascinated by the truly unique SKIM spirit and values as well as the exciting opportunities for the Berlin team. With the support of a strong headquarter office in Rotterdam, we can focus on SKIM’s growth in the DACH region and being a trusted and versatile partner to our clients. I am very happy to be a part of this team’s journey!”
Jessica holds a degree in Economics & Management from the Free University of Bolzano and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business & Technology (Washington D.C.).
Aljona Melzel
Aljona joins SKIM as Senior Research Manager in Berlin. With an all-round background in research and choice modeling, she will be a strong partner to clients for a variety of research questions. In her previous roles she worked for various research institutes – from conducting fundamental research in the field of medical technology and personality diagnostic tools, to helping clients in technology and telecommunications identify customer segments, optimize portfolios, analyze the potential of innovations and brand communication.
Aljona holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in multivariate statistics and a master’s degree in business psychology focused on behavioral economics.
“SKIM is a very unique company – known for excellent research with a global reach and yet not a large corporation with rigid structures” said Aljona Melzel. “The level of enthusiasm and the truly collaborative approach within SKIM are a wonderful environment to thrive as researcher. I am excited to be part of a growing team within the DACH region.”
