Job description
The AI Team is part of SKIM’s broader Methodology, Analytics & Technology team (MAT), responsible for driving innovation across our research tools, methodologies, and client solutions worldwide. As SKIM accelerates the ambition to be a frontrunner in AI driven insight-based consulting, we are looking for an AI Manager who combines hands on creation, with leadership, direction setting, and a strong focus on standardization and scalability.
This role goes beyond strong execution. It requires someone who brings experience, judgment, and curiosity. Someone who asks the right questions, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and helps shape how AI is embedded across the organization.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will:
Design & Build AIPowered Tools
- Lead the development of AI-enabled research tools, including conversational surveys, predictive modelling, and generative ideation solutions.
- Ensure AI solutions deliver meaningful value for both clients and internal users.
- Balance hands on development with architectural thinking and long term sustainability.
Drive Standardization & Scalability
- Own the standardization, documentation, and maintenance of AI tools to ensure reliability, usability, and scalability.
- Establish best practices for model usage, tool design, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor performance and guide continuous improvement as technology and business needs evolve.
Provide Direction, Expertise & Challenge
- Bring structure, critical thinking, and experience to AI initiatives, questioning assumptions and guiding decisionmaking.
- Work closely with SKIMmers to translate business needs into clear, prioritized AI solutions.
- Support and mentor team members, helping elevate AI capability across the organization.

- Proactively identify emerging technologies, methods, and opportunities relevant to market research.
- Lead exploratory initiatives and proofofconcepts, turning promising ideas into scalable solutions.
- Act as a thought partner in helping shape SKIM’s AI roadmap and long-term vision.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have outstanding conceptual thinking and great execution when developing AI solutions Typically, we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant working experience, NLP experience is preferred
- Experience working with state-of-the-art techniques such as RAG, LLM frameworks, and OpenAI APIs
- Experience with business applications of AI
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in Python
- Basic experience with Cloud Computing and Deployment
- Interest in marketing and market research
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- You are authorized to work in the Netherlands (resident, citizen, valid visa or other)
