We are looking for a Junior Facility Coordinator at SKIM! We are growing fast, so we are looking for someone who can join our Workspace Management team of 6 SKIMmers.

The Workspace Management Team

The Workspace Management team is responsible for the digital and physical workspace for all employees and making sure all SKIMmers are well equipped to carry out their responsibilities. We operate a hybrid working model so this means supporting employees in the office, but also online. As a member of the Global Workspace team, you will be collaborating with team members in Rotterdam, Atlanta and Hoboken. Together you will promote global workspace initiatives in 11 offices, across 7 countries. Our Rotterdam office is currently 145 employees and growing! You will be supporting our people to feel empowered in their work environment, the space they use, and the facilities provided. Because we believe that this will make them thrive and enable our continued business success and growth.  

Job description

To create and maintain this workspace you will be managing vendors, purchasing products, resolving first-line IT tickets, organizing events (both work-related and fun events). Together with the Workspace Coordinator, you are responsible for maintaining the physical workspace of our Rotterdam office (145 employees) but also supporting our London (25 employees), Paris (3 employees), Berlin (20 employees) and Singapore (20 employees) offices, and many other things!  

In addition to the day-to-day operations, you will also be working on other (improvement) projects and topics:  

  • Service quality measurement  
  • Internal communication 
  • Data-driven insights  
  • Health safety & environment 
  • Sustainability initiatives  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is someone who is ready for the first or second step in their career. Typically, we’re looking for someone with the following profile:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 0–3-year experience of working in Facility Management  
  • Is eager to learn
  • Is service-oriented
  • Thinks along and is pro-active
  • Has good communication skills in English and Dutch
  • Although we operate a hybrid working model, for this role, it is expected that you are willing and able to come to the office on most of your working days
