SKIM is currently looking for a (Senior) Global Office Manager (32 hours per week) based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
In this role you will lead the office management team. The OM team is responsible for creating a great digital and physical workplace, which optimally supports and inspires our staff to deliver fast, innovative and high quality solutions to our clients
This role reports directly into the Management Team and Regional Operations Directors.

About You and our Global Office Manager position
Your responsibilities in this role are varied. You’re a good multi-tasker, and can easily switch between strategic and operational tasks. You require strategic capabilities to understand, define and anticipate the needs of the business with regards to IT, workspaces and support services.
This role includes an element of procurement as you’re responsible for our service contracts, software, hardware and office equipment, as well as our office leases.

When we open new offices, you are able to direct your team to deliver a workspace which adheres to our global standards, while supporting local needs.
You are globally responsible, and will be required to work with many international colleagues all over the world. You ensure there is a continuity in our internal brand message, policies and quality.
You manage a team of two Office Managers, an IT consultant and an application manager in Rotterdam, and a junior Facility Manager in Hoboken. You support the team with planning, personal development, performance, coaching, training and translating the long term strategy to their day-to-day reality.
You have a strong affinity with IT and are familiar with implementing and managing tools like Google Suite, SharePoint and SAP. You will spearhead and lead small and large implementations of new software. Larger implementations will require significant planning, developing and delivering training, and working closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
This is a senior position and you will work closely with the Management Team.
To be successful in this role, project management skills and experience are a MUST have. You have experience managing a small team. You’re pro-active and take initiative. It is up to you to recommend improvements, initiate contract renewals with third parties, come up with creative ideas for the office, stay up to date on the latest functionalities and find continuous ways to improve our support to SKIMmers, facilities and the support services we provide for the SKIM community.
Your communication skills are excellent, you can define goals clearly, communicate your vision, set targets and develop training on new IT initiatives. You are comfortable working in a team, whilst at the same time enjoying autonomy in your role. You regularly need to persuade, gain buy-in and make people enthusiastic as part of implementing new processes. You are a born change manager.
- Several years’ experience in a similar role and discipline, working with multiple sites
- Fluency in English is essential and fluency in Dutch is preferential.

- Passionate about delivering standards and continuous improvement, with experience in improving work processes and managing change
- You are an experienced and creative project lead.
