Job description
This is a unique opportunity for a bright and driven Consumer Insights Manager to be part of the exciting journey of further growing our LatAm business and expertise. As Consumer Insights Manager, you will be the main person responsible for CPG clients on different business objectives, covering our main areas of expertise: Pricing & Revenue Management, Brand & Communications, and Innovation).You will be leading studies as insights consultant, building strong relationships with our clients, and advising them by leading a team of analysts and ensuring the delivery of clear, actionable insights, contributing to create sustainable growth and partnerships. This requires a self-motivated individual who is not afraid to take the lead.
More specifically, imagine yourself being responsible for the following:
- Leading end-to-end client projects, from research design and proposal development through analysis, storytelling, and final delivery
- Being the trusted account lead for clients by building long-term relationships. You are the primary contact for new briefs and projects, proactively identifying opportunities to grow partnerships that lead to additional business for SKIM
- Turning complex data and insights into clear, engaging recommendations that help clients make confident marketing and business decisions
- Leading client presentations, workshops, end-to-end communication and discussions with confidence and credibility
- Managing a team of Analysts
- Providing support to other team members to make sure account responsibilities and deliverables are met at a high standard and in agreed timelines
- Giving advice and assistance to other team members to make sure insights are impactful and recommendations are delivered across all projects
Our LatAm team consists of 17 colleagues across San José (Costa Rica), São Paulo, and Mexico City. Our clients are some of the biggest multinationals in the world, spread across Central and Latin America. Travel to clients is part of the role.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have prior consulting/client-service experience on the agency or client side. We are looking for someone with the following profile:
- 5+ years of experience in a client-facing consumer insights role on the agency side
- Proven experience managing client relationships and independently leading projects from proposal development through delivery
- Negotiation and persuasion skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to craft creative, inspiring, solution-driven stories that communicate complex concepts in a simple way
- Experience developing research approaches and connecting insights to broader business, brand, or marketing challenges
- Confidence leading client presentations, facilitating discussions, and influencing stakeholders at different levels
- A proactive and consultative mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding clients’ businesses and identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coach and support more junior team members
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
- You are authorized to work in Costa Rica (resident, citizen, valid visa or other)
